Overview of Scheme
The objective of Gas Cylinder Test Station certification is to provide gas cylinder test station operators with the requirements and procedures to carry out initial and periodic inspections as specified in the AS 2337 series of standards to comply with regulatory needs. International Standards Certifications certifies test stations to obtain a certificate of conformity to test cylinders of various types. A test station may be assessed to test one or more of the following classes:- welded and brazed (BBQ, camping and other types of LPG cylinders other than automotive)
- seamless (SCUBA, CO2 fire extinguishers)
- composite (previously known as fibre reinforced plastic and breathing apparatus)
- automotive LPG (LPG fuel vessels for cars)
- automotive CNG (natural gas fuel cylinders for trucks and buses)
