Internal Auditing Disability Services Standards (2 Days)
Purpose
The information presented in this two day course forms the basis for a systematic approach to conduct Internal audits against the Disability Services Standards Criteria. It enables participants to gain an understanding of the requirements of all the standards of Disability Service Standards or NSW State Disability Services Standards and how to perform Internal audits.
The course examines the benefits of implementing Quality Assurance system for DSS and the compatibility of DSS and quality management systems.
Who should attend?
This course is designed for participants with limited knowledge or understanding of Disability Service Standards. It is suitable for
• Auditors who are required to conduct internal quality audits.
• persons who are responsible for developing and implementing quality management
systems based on Disability Services Standards
What will be achieved?
• Understand the general requirements of the Disability Services Standards.
• Understand how to implement DSS in your organisation.
• Describe the basic principles and requirements of internal auditing as set out in the Standards for Quality Systems.
• Analyse your own organisation’s requirements for the appropriate application of internal monitoring activities
• Plan, conduct and effectively complete internal quality monitoring.
• Identify appropriate communication and interpersonal skills exhibited by the Observers.
